Mr Eric Wilson as the Head of Corporate Advisory Services is based in Dubai from where he oversees and manages all client services.
Prior to joining TCP, Eric was Director of Origination and Coverage at QInvest Saudi Arabia, the investment banking arm of Qatar’s leading financial services institution. In his early career as Head of the Oil & Petrochemical Group at Saudi International Bank in London, Eric gained a detailed knowledge of the Middle East, advising major institutional clients including the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, ARAMCO, PETROMIN, and SABIC. Between 1988 and 2001 Eric was a Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee at Piper Jaffray Inc., an international investment firm specializing in investment banking and asset management. From 2001 to 2009, he was a founding partner and senior managing director of ThinkEquity Partners LLC, an equity research and stock trading firm.
Eric has spent over 15 years living outside the USA., in Great Britain, the Middle East and South East Asia. He holds a BA degree in Economics from St.Olaf College, Minnesota, USA.
Mr. Ahmed Ben Halim, as Chairman of the Corporate Advisory Services business, will bring his extensive experience and knowledge of the region to the development of the business and its clients.
Prior to establishing TCP, Ahmed Ben Halim was Head of Asset Management at Saudi International Bank (“SIB”) in London and a member of its management committee. During his time at SIB, Mr. Ben Halim also held a number of positions in arbitrage trading and investment banking, and was responsible for managing funds in excess of US $5 billion. Prior to joining SIB, he was a resident advisor at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.
He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Surrey and an M.A. in Law & Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
Mr. Abdelaziz El Gendy, as a non-executive director of the Corporate Advisory Services business, will combine his extensive knowledge of the region and operating and relationship management experience in investment banking and asset management businesses to develop the strategic direction, governance and monitoring of the performance of the Company.
Before joining TCP in January 2004, Mr. El Gendy was Head of Private Banking at National Bank of Kuwait (International) plc (“NBKI”) in London, where he worked for 12 years. At NBKI, Mr. El Gendy had primary responsibility for business development with the bank's elite client base, in addition to his supervisory role in the structuring of a wide range of Private Banking services. Mr. El Gendy also held senior positions at NBK Investment Management, a partnership between the National Bank of Kuwait and Morgan Stanley.
Mr. El Gendy started his career in banking 25 years ago with Chase National Bank of Egypt and holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Cairo University.
Mr Ali Ojjeh, as founding partner and current CEO of the TCP Group, will take an active role in relationship management and business development.
Starting his early career with Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York, his experience covered advising on energy company privatisations followed by roles in the Equities Division, first as the information product manager to the Research Department and then as a high-technology industry specialist in the Equities Proprietary Trading group. Thereafter he continued his career at Morgan Stanley, managing client equity portfolios, before founding TCP.
A graduate in Financial Economics from Carnegie-Mellon University, he also holds an MBA from Stanford Business School.
Mr. Tim Savage as Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all aspects of the financial, administrative, and compliance functions within the TCP Group.
Prior to joining the TCP Group in 2007, Tim was Head of Finance for the UK and Irish operations of Maiden Outdoor Advertising and company secretary of the London listed parent, Maiden Group plc. Soon after moving to the company, he joined the management team that led the group through a series of management buyouts from private ownership to flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 1996 and ultimate sale to a trade buyer in 2006, managing the financial and administration needs of the group during a period of significant organic and acquisitive growth. Between 1984 and 1991, Tim worked at Price Waterhouse in London where he gained extensive experience in assurance work, financial investigations and corporate transactions involving clients in a wide range of industry sectors.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having qualified with Price Waterhouse in 1987, and a graduate in Engineering Science from Exeter University.
Ms. Amy Harvey is TCP Group’s legal counsel. She is responsible for managing TCP Group’s legal affairs including supervision and coordination of external counsel.
Prior to joining TCP in September 2009, Amy worked at Olswang LLP where she specialised on a range of private equity transactions acting for institutional investors, entrepreneurs and management buy-out teams. She also regularly advised on other corporate transactions including disposals, acquisitions and development of capital deals. Before that, she worked as a corporate lawyer at two top-flight Canadian law firms.
She is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and has also been admitted as a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in history from the University of Guelph. Amy has also attended Moscow State University in Russia and the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
